Worst of all months for casualty rates on the road
If there was ever a time to be extra cautious, it’s now. November is statistically the most dangerous month of the year on UK roads. Driver behaviour is still the primary cause of incidents followed by infrastructure problems. However with weather worsening and less daylight during busy travel times, the risk is greater than usual that a serious incident will take place.
Pedestrians are also involved more often than you might think, accounting for up to 26% of serious injuries suffered during the month of November.
